A NOTE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT OF PARKS !!!!

We have had yet another successful year in the Lowell Parks Department.  We offer a variety of programs and events for the community!  Soccer remains our largest program and again we hosted the Challenger British Soccer Camp for one week this year, as well as the MiniKickers program.  Our tree count at Freedom Park is still growing.  The Freedom Brick Walk is established and continues to grow.  Disc golf is complete and we are hoping to utilize this new addition by hosting tournaments and possibly a youth instruction camp.  40 acres were seeded North of the entrance and is a great spot for flying a kite or throwing a football around!  One-half mile of gravel path has been laid and continues as a work in progress.  Plenty of walking paths have been established including a partial wilderness path.  We are getting closer to having ball fields become a reality at Freedom Park.  Our parks in town are well groomed and upgraded thanks to the Lowell Street Departments efforts.  A big kudos to those who voluntarily help pick up in the parks.  From all of us to all of you, thank you for all of your support!  Keep enjoying our parks and programs.

Respectfully:  Tom Sullivan – Superintendent of Parks

Dear Parents,

As many of you know, music is so much more than notes and rhythm. Music has been scientifically proven to develop vital life skills: such as math, critical thinking, team work, logic, etc. As one of the rare activities that transcends all ages and barriers, music is known as the “universal language”, and is truly a gift for life. I encourage you to give your child (or maybe yourself) the opportunity to unlock musical talent.

Violin classes will be held at IBT
