Our Vision
The Lowell Parks and Recreation Department will continually strive to serve as the center of their community by providing all citizens with positive leisure and recreational experiences which significantly contributed to increased life satisfaction and appreciation of the Town of Lowell. We will work to create partnerships with area businesses and civic organizations in order to gain support for and market our programs. Our programs will maintain the highest level of quality while providing our participants with leadership and guidance in the physical, mental, and spiritual components of life. This leadership and guidance will be administered by a Parks Department, which consists of hard working, dedicated, and knowledgeable individuals, which model an exemplary lifestyle to the community.

Fall 2009/Winter 2010 Programs
Wado-ki-Karate
Karate places an emphasis on proper attitude, discipline, self-confidence, coordination and flexibility. The physical aspect of this sport is a healthy activity that teaches readiness. Students are separated after stretching, according to their rank and age. Uniforms and rank certification are available from the instructor for an additional fee. This year-round program is designed to take the students all he way to black belt and is multi-generational.
Ages 6 yrs old - Adult Saturday 9:00am to 9:45 am
Held in the gym located at the Tri-Creek School Corp. building, 195 Oakley Ave
8 class session is $45 res/$50/non-res.

Senior Event ~ February 25, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Lowell Public Library
Celebrate the love of your life by joining vocalist Kim Vogrin from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for a special Valentine's Concert featuring some of the greatest love songs from over the years. Enjoy romantic favorites, including: That's Amore, We've Only Just Begun, A You're Adorable, Everybody Loves a Lover, Chapel of Love and more! Have fun singing along with well-known favorites and learning little-known facts about famous singers and movies starts from the past. Relive your love story as you listen to the beautiful, soothing music of romance.
The Lowell Parks Dept, and the Fitness Edge have teamed up to offer some exciting classes! Classes are held at the Fitness Edge 289 Westmeadow Pl. (turn north at Casey's) Sign up today!
Senior Fitness Class
A 60 minutes full body workout that incorporates 20 minutes of low impact aerobic movements with modified resistance training fro eithr a chair or standing position. The class ends with stability practice and light core raining. All fitness levels are welcome. All equipment provided. Taught by a certified Fitness Instructor from the Fitness Edge

Archery
Learn basic archery skills and safety. Our instructors are hunter - safety educators and certified paramedics. All equipment is provided, including safety glasses, unless you prefer your own.

Guitar Lessions
If you've ever dreamed about playing the guitar then this is your chance! This class is taught by Eric Lambert, professional guitarist and teacher for over thirty-five years.
