Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners

The Board of Metropolitan Police Commissioners consists of five members appointed by the Town Council.  The Board appoints, subject to the qualifications for employment determined by the Board and approved by the Town Council, persons necessary to serve in the Police Department of the town.  The Board reviews and keeps current the Department’s rules, regulations, and general orders.  The Police Chief is the executive head of the Department.  The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at Town Hall.
